CTOnews.com learned that Geely Holdings Group announced in June this year the goal of achieving full-link carbon neutralization by 2045 and formulated a diversified path for the development of new energy technologies, including methanol vehicles and pure electric vehicles, Raytheon hybrid, recharging and so on.

According to reports, Geely has mastered the core technology of methanol vehicles, formed more than 200 patents, developed more than 20 methanol fuel models, with a cumulative mileage of nearly 10 billion kilometers, and the highest bicycle mileage of more than 1.5 million kilometers. it has become the first mainframe plant in the world to realize mass production of methanol vehicles.

In the field of passenger cars, Geely this year launched the world's first methanol hybrid car-the fourth generation Diehorol electric hybrid car. The model is equipped with a methanol hybrid system, has 41.5% engine thermal efficiency and 40% energy saving rate, and the alcohol consumption is as low as 9.2L per 100 km, which is equivalent to about 3 litres of fuel consumption per 100 km, at a cost of less than 0.3 yuan per km.

In the field of commercial vehicles, Geely's new energy commercial vehicle brand long-distance vehicles launched a new generation of methanol heavy trucks, which further reduces energy consumption. Compared with diesel heavy trucks, fuel costs can be reduced by 18%, equivalent to saving up to 1 yuan per kilometer.
