CTOnews.com, September 4 (Xinhua)-- Samsung launched new Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4 folding screen phones in 36 European countries on August 26, mainly in Germany, France, Spain, the Netherlands and the UK.

Samsung claimed at IFA 2022 in Berlin that the two phones had set new shipping records, according to the Korea Times.

Benjamin Braun, Samsung's chief marketing officer for Europe, said on IFA 2022 that shipments of the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4 in continental Europe had "doubled" compared with previous models, namely the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Flip3.

In addition, a recent report indicated that the comparison of sales of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4 in Europe was 4:6, compared with nearly 7:3 before, which means that more customers in Europe are interested in larger folding screen products.

CTOnews.com learned that these two models have been released in China, with Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 starting at 12999 yuan and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 starting at 7499 yuan. Samsung has previously said it hopes to sell more than 50 per cent of its flagship Galaxy phones in 2025 with folding screens.
