CTOnews.com September 3 news, at the IFA2022 exhibition, Lenovo released and demonstrated the ThinkPad X1 Fold Gen 2 folding screen notebook. This product is equipped with a 12-generation Core U series processor and a 16.3-inch OLED folding screen. Here are Lenovo's official pictures.

CTOnews.com learned that ThinkPad X1 Fold Gen 2 is equipped with a 9W model of the 12th generation Core U series, with up to 32GB of LPDDR5 memory and 1TB of SSD.

On the screen side, ThinkPad X1 Fold Gen 2 is equipped with a 16.3-inch OLED screen with a ratio of about 4:3, a resolution of 2,560 x 2,024, SDR brightness of 400 nits, HDR brightness of 600 nits, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and a screen border of only 8 mm. When the keyboard is attached to the bottom half of the screen, it can be transformed into a 12-inch regular notebook form.

Elsewhere, the new ThinkPad X1 Fold comes standard with a 48 Wh battery, a 65 W power adapter, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a USB 3.2 Type-C port and a nano-SIM card slot. The new generation ThinkPad X1 Fold weighs 1.28kg, and the total weight with the stand and keyboard is 1.9kg.

The next-generation ThinkPad X1 Fold is expected to start shipping in November 2022, starting at $2499.
