On Friday, local time, Twitter asked the presiding judge to order Tesla CEO Elon Musk to hand over all communications since the first half of 2022. Twitter claimed that Musk did not cooperate to exchange enough information before withdrawing from the acquisition lawsuit.

Twitter filed the request with Justice Kathaleen St.J. McCormick of the Delaware Court of Chancery, along with a request for sealing sanctions against Musk and his lawyer.

Twitter wants Judge McCormick to order Musk to hand over all communications from January 1 to July 8, 2022, according to court documents. At the same time, the company also wants Jared Burchard (Jared Birchall), a senior assistant to Musk, to hand over records of communications during this period. Burchard manages Musk's family wealth and is thought to be deeply involved in financing his acquisition of Twitter.

Twitter lawyers argued that Mr Musk and his lawyers did not act in "good faith" and did not display the records as part of the pre-trial exchange of information. Twitter and Musk have subpoenaed more than 100 banks, hedge funds and individuals to gather testimony for the trial on October 17th.

Twitter also said in its request that it wanted Judge McCormick to order Musk's legal team to testify to respond to questions about his acquisition of Twitter.

On Friday, Musk's lawyer denied any wrongdoing in connection with the exchange of pre-trial information. They claim that Twitter has launched a covert operation to hide witnesses who know the details of the number of spam and robot accounts on the platform. Mr Musk questioned the accounts, which was the core argument for his exit from the deal.

"with Twitter's failed efforts to hide messages and witnesses, they are now trying to distract people with this nonsense," Musk's lawyer, Alex Spiro, said in an emailed statement.
