According to the official Wechat account of China Railway, the Yiyang-Changsha section of the Yuzhou-Xiamen high-speed railway (referred to as the "Yuzhou-Xiamen high-speed railway Yichang section") will be put into operation on September 6, and the travel time between Yiyang and Changsha will be reduced from 70 minutes to 31 minutes, according to the official Wechat account of China Railway.

CTOnews.com learned that the Yichang section of the Chongqing-Xiamen high-speed railway is located in the northwest of Hunan Province, with a total length of 63 kilometers. It is connected to the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan intercity railway through Changsha West Railway Station. It is designed according to the upper speed of 350km / h and operates normally at a speed of 310km / h. There are three stations in Yiyang Nan, Ningxiang West and Changsha West.

The railway department said that after the opening and operation of the project, Yiyang South Railway Station, Ningxiang West Railway Station and Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan intercity railway stations were interconnected. Next, after the Changde-Yiyang section of the Chongqing-Xiamen high-speed railway under construction is opened, the Changde-Yiyang-Changsha section of the Chongqing-Xiamen high-speed railway will be completed and will be interconnected with the already opened Qianzhang-Changzhou high-speed railway and Zhang Jihuai high-speed railway.
