Wang Chuanfu said that at present, BYD has more than 700000 orders on hand, and the delivery period for new cars is 4-5 months, while the newly launched seal model has been put into mass production and is under great pressure due to the epidemic and power cuts. Overall, BYD will strive for monthly delivery of 280000 units by the end of 2022.

CTOnews.com learned that BYD's wholesale volume reached 162200 in July, and the August data have not yet been released and are not expected to be lower than this figure.

In terms of future development planning, BYD will launch luxury car brands in 2023 and will bring many unique new technologies. The first model will reach the million yuan level, while the fifth generation DM-i system will be launched in 2024. In addition, BYD is currently focusing on the European market overseas and may temporarily abandon the US market.

In terms of self-driving, BYD's high-end models will launch high-end intelligent driving assistance, including a complete set of assisted driving programs, involving the integrated deployment of hardware and software, and will maintain a long-term product lead by maintaining long-term product technological innovation.

In terms of market development, Wang Chuanfu believes that China's entire new energy market will reach 90-10 million vehicles in 2023, and they plan to deliver more than 4 million vehicles, while batteries, motors and electronically controlled semiconductors will be synchronized or more. The main capacity of the battery is still internal supply, with a small proportion of external supply, but the proportion of external supply will increase significantly in 2024.

In response to the decline of subsidies for new energy vehicles next year, Wang Chuanfu said that due to the growth of sales scale, BYD will reduce its raw material procurement costs by 3-5%, thus offsetting these costs.

"BYD: the first-half net profit of 3.595 billion yuan increased by 206.35% over the same period last year, and the market share of new energy vehicles was 24.7%."
