Thanks to CTOnews.com netizen OC_Formula for the clue delivery! CTOnews.com9, August 3, Leica camera Company announced a technical cooperation with Hisense Group to launch its own products in the field of laser TV. Today, Leica unveiled its first laser TV, Leica Cine 1, at the International Consumer Electronics Show (IFA) in Berlin.
There are two versions of the Leica Cine 1 laser TV, one of which projects a 4K 60Hz picture with a brightness of 2500 ANSI lumens at a distance of 30cm from the monitor. Another version can project an 80-inch 4K picture at a distance of 15 cm from the monitor with a brightness of 2100 ANSI lumens.
The two versions of the Leica Cine 1 laser TV projector are exactly the same size and weight, 600x378x149mm and 13kg. In terms of appearance, the laser TV uses an aluminum shell with Leica's iconic "cola logo" on the front and an electric dust cover at the top, which will be opened automatically when in use.
Leica says the Leica Cine 1 laser TV can work for more than 25000 hours while ensuring picture quality. In terms of sound, the laser TV has two built-in 20W speakers to support Dolby panoramic sound and Dolby Digital +. In addition, the laser TV uses a three-color RGB laser engine from Leica and Hisense, which uses Texas Instruments' DLP chip with a delay of about 30 milliseconds.
Ross Slavov, head of Leica's intelligent projection business, said the price, specification and delivery date of the product are uncertain and could be changed at any time in the future. However, he also said that the 80-inch Cine 1 laser TV is expected to sell for $6900 (about 47610 yuan), and the 100-inch Cine 1 laser TV is expected to sell for $7900 (about 54510 yuan). At the same time, the laser TV can be equipped with an ambient light suppression (ALR) screen, which costs about $1800 (about 12420 yuan) for a 100-inch screen and about $1600 (11040 yuan) for an 80-inch screen.
CTOnews.com learned that the Leica Cine 1 laser TV on display at Leica has three HDMI ports, one USB 2.0 and one USB 3.0 interface. Leica plans to launch Leica Cine 1 laser TV in Europe in the second quarter of 2023 and in China in the third quarter of 2023.
