CTOnews.com, September 2, according to Tom's Hardware, the founder of Thodex, a Turkish cryptocurrency exchange service, was arrested in Albania. ö zer fled the country last year with $2 billion (13.8 billion yuan) worth of cryptocurrency and faces up to 40,564 years in prison.

There were several scams in the cryptocurrency circle last year, valued at $7.7 billion. ö zer fled Turkey in April 2021 with approximately $2 billion belonging to approximately 400000 Thodex customers.

More than a year later, ö zer was arrested in Albania. Interpol issued an order for the arrest of zer, who was found by local authorities in Vlor ë, Albania. The identity of ö zer has been verified by biometric results.

CTOnews.com learned that according to a report by Bloomberg earlier this year, 21 people, together with other founders and executives, now face up to 40,564 years in prison each.

In May this year, six defendants who were previously detained were taken to the court to attend a hearing before the Ninth High Criminal Court in Anatolia. The lawyer attended the court hearing with the defendant who was not detained at the time. The indictment for the lawsuit totaled 268 pages, and ö zer et al were accused of fraud, with approximately 2027 complaints at the time.
