Although the Arc A770 has not yet proved to be better than the competition, this unique light-tracking ability looks good.

CTOnews.com learned that Intel had previously demonstrated the light-tracking performance of the Arc A380 entry-level graphics card, which had only eight ray-tracing units, but was slightly better than the competition.

The Arc A770 has flagship parameters, including 32 raytrace units, and interestingly, Intel has finally proved its previous claim that Arc is interesting in light tracking, even better than Nvidia's second-generation RT kernel.

According to Intel's benchmark, the Arc A770's ray-tracing performance is even better than Nvidia's GeForce RTX 3060, and the Alchemist outperforms Ampere in the range of 1x to 1.56x, while the Arc A770 only lost to RTX 3060 in F1 2022, Guardian Galaxy and Battlefield V.

Intel's 1440p (2560x1440) game benchmark shows that it is difficult for the Arc A770 to provide a normal frame rate in games such as Ghost Line: Tokyo and Killer 3.

However, when XeSS technology is enabled in the balanced preset, the ray tracing performance of the Arc A770 in these two games improves by 1.77x and 1.61x, respectively. So, if you need performance more than visual effects, the XeSS feature can also help you further improve GPU performance.

Based on XeSS's performance preset, the Arc A770 provides more than twice the frame rate performance in Ghost Line: Tokyo and Killer 3. The graphics card also showed significant performance improvements in other test games, such as Tomb Raider: shadow, Arcadegeddon and the Chronicle of the Magic Collar.

CTOnews.com has reported that Intel has officially confirmed that shipments of the Ruixuan 5 and 7 will begin in the third quarter, and we can look forward to the final price. The performance of the Ruixuan A770 is between RTX 3060 Ti and GeForce RTX 3070, which are $399 and $499, respectively, and the 770 is also expected to be somewhere in between.
