CTOnews.com, September 1, according to China Railway, after 11 days of sea transportation, China exported high-speed EMU and comprehensive inspection trains for the Yawan high-speed railway from Qingdao Port of China to Jakarta Port of Indonesia on the evening of September 1, local time. This is the first high-speed train to arrive in Indonesia for the Yawan high-speed rail project.

Eleven days ago (August 21), a high-speed EMU and a comprehensive inspection train were successfully loaded at Qingdao Port and shipped to Indonesia by sea. This is the first batch of high-speed trains on the Yawan high-speed railway, marking the official start of China's first high-speed train exported abroad.

The Yawan high-speed railway is a landmark project for China and Indonesia to jointly build the "Belt and Road Initiative" and deepen practical cooperation. It is also the first time that China's high-speed railway has landed overseas with a full-system, all-element and full-industry chain. The high-speed EMU and comprehensive testing trains of Yawan high-speed railway are led by China Railway International Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China National Railway Group Co., Ltd., which is designed and manufactured by China Railway Qingdao Sifang Locomotive and Rolling Stock Co., Ltd., which is one of the members of the Chinese consortium of Yawan high-speed railway. It is the first high-speed train exported in China.

The train adopts Chinese standard and is tailor-made for Yawan high-speed railway, with a maximum operating speed of 350 kilometers per hour, four moving and four dragging eight cars, relying on the advanced and mature technology of Fuxing Chinese standard EMU, adapting to Indonesia's local operating environment and line conditions, and integrating Indonesian local culture to improve adaptability.

CTOnews.com learned that the Yawan high-speed railway, which connects the Indonesian capital Jakarta and the tourist city of Bandung, is 142km long and has a maximum design speed of 350km per hour. The full line uses Chinese technology and Chinese standards, and will become the first high-speed railway in Indonesia and Southeast Asia when completed.
