CTOnews.com Sept. 1, Samsung has begun to launch the One UI 4.1.1 update to the Galaxy S22 series from the United States. This update is now available for Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 + and Galaxy S22 Ultra operator unlocked models in the United States.

The Galaxy S22 Series One UI 4.1.1 update is included with the fastener version S90xUSQU2AVHB in the United States. Although this update did not bring a security patch for September 2022, it upgraded the One UI version and made some improvements to private sharing and smart views. To install the new update, go to the Settings »software update on your smartphone, and then click download and install.

This update allows you to rename files shared through private shares. To do this, navigate to the private share, select the file you sent or received, click the three-point menu, and then select the edit name. Samsung has also improved the Smart View of the Galaxy S22 series of phones. Now, Smart View's multi-view feature can display multiple options, such as full screen, picture-in-picture, and so on.

CTOnews.com learned that the One UI 4.1.1 update for the Samsung Galaxy S22 series is still based on Android 12 rather than Android 12L. Samsung updated One UI 4.1.1 based on Android 12L for its Galaxy Z Fold smartphones and Galaxy Tab series of devices. New updates may soon be released in other parts of the world.
