Beijing, September 1 (Xinhua)-- Guo Mingyi, a well-known Apple analyst at Tianfeng International Securities, tweeted today that the mass production of iPhone 14 in India this year is still about six weeks behind China.

In early August, Mr Guo predicted that Foxconn's Indian iPhone plant would ship the new 6.1in iPhone 14 almost at the same time as its Chinese plant, typically a quarter or more behind in the past.

▲ Guo Mingyi said that the mass production of the Indian version of iPhone 14 was six weeks behind schedule.

But at the end of last month, people familiar with the matter said Apple plans to start producing the latest flagship iPhone 14 in India two months after its launch in China. Although India has narrowed the gap with China in iPhone production, it has not fully caught up as some expected. Due to factors such as confidentiality, Apple and Foxconn believe that it is unrealistic to produce the iPhone 14 in India and China at the same time this year.

Guo Mingyi also said that although India still lags behind China in iPhone 14 production, the gap has narrowed significantly, so it is reasonable to expect India to be able to produce the new iPhone 15 with China at the same time next year.
