First of all, the AMD PPT of exposure introduces the naming rules of the processor, taking EPYC 9554X as an example:

9 stands for product series, such as 9004 series of SP5 socket and 8006 series of SP6 socket;

5 represents the number of cores, such as 5 represents 64 cores and 7 represents 112-128 cores.

Decimal 5 represents relative performance;

4 stands for algebra;

X stands for characteristics, such as X stands for 3D cache and F stands for high frequency.

AMD's next-generation Snapdragon processor 9004 series will reportedly feature Zen4 architecture with 8 - 128 cores, including "Bergamo,""Genoa" and "Genoa-X."

The EPYC 9754, codenamed "Bergamo," will feature up to 128 Zen4C cores and up to 256 MB of L3 cache at frequencies up to 3.2 GHz and a TDP of 360W. The EPYC 9734 has 112 cores, frequencies up to 3.2 GHz, and a TDP reduction of 40W.

The new Genoa-X series processors will feature 3D cache, up to 96 cores, the flagship model 9684X, 1.1 GB of large L3 cache, and a TDP of 400W.

The standard Genoa series should be available in the next few months, and the Genoa-X series won't be available until next year.

CTOnews.com understands that AMD has previously announced that Zen4 architecture data center CPUs will feature a new platform with SP5 slots, support for DDR5 memory, and PCIe Gen5 and CXL interfaces. At AMD's Financial Analyst Day 2022, AMD confirmed its data center CPU roadmap. AMD's 4th generation EPYC CPUs will be available in Genoa, Bergamo, Genoa-X and Siena, all based on the Zen4 architecture.
