CTOnews.com Sept. 1, Microsoft Teams is a chat-based intelligent team collaboration tool that is used to collaborate online around the world. However, Microsoft issued a warning today that Teams users in China may face a decline in experience throughout September.

CTOnews.com learned that Microsoft is upgrading the dedicated China Advanced (China Premium) network used by Chinese Teams users and has arranged a maintenance window from August 24 to September 30.

During this long maintenance period, Chinese Teams users will have to use China's regular cross-border network services when joining a conference hosted in a data center outside the Asia-Pacific region, which may lead to a decline in experience.

Microsoft shares a workaround solution, which is for Team users in China to hold cross-regional meetings so that they can be hosted in a data center in the Asia-Pacific region and have a good experience. Failure to do so may result in poor audio and video quality, as well as problems with screen sharing.
