CTOnews.com, Sept. 1 (Xinhua)-- more and more smartphone makers have stopped using charging heads in new phones, and OPPO may be next.

At the launch of the European OPPO Reno 8 series, Zhang Zhouchuan, vice president of overseas sales and service of OPPO, said: "We will remove the charging heads for several products next year, and we now have a plan," Android Police reported.

"it's not easy for consumers to get the SUPERVOOC charger, so we had to put it in the box before. However, as we expand our business operations, we hope to take the charging head out of the box and put it in the store so that users can still buy the charging head and continue to use it after upgrading the device."

CTOnews.com learned that Apple, Xiaomi, Huawei and other mobile phone manufacturers have cancelled the charging head in some products because of environmental protection, reducing the size of the box and so on, and each company has different transition methods.

OPPO's SUPERVOOC has grown to 150W, and the previous slogan "charge for five minutes, talk for two hours" is even more popular.

Digital blogger @ Digital chat Station previously revealed that OPPO has trial-produced a 240W charger with 24 volts and 10 amperes in evt (engineering verification test phase).
