According to the report, Midea's operating income in the first half of this year was 182.661 billion yuan, an increase of 5.09 percent over the same period last year. Midea's net profit was 15.995 billion yuan, up 6.57 percent over the same period last year, and basic earnings per share was 2.34 yuan.

Specifically, Midea's five major business sectors all increased, of which the income of the smart home business group during the reporting period was 125.9 billion yuan, an increase of 3.48 percent over the same period last year. The income of the industrial and technological enterprise group in the reporting period was 12.1 billion yuan, an increase of 13.26% over the same period last year. The income of the Building Science and Technology Division during the reporting period was 12.2 billion yuan, an increase of 33.09% over the same period last year. The revenue of the Robotics and Automation Division during the reporting period was 12.2 billion yuan, an increase of 2.15% over the same period last year. The revenue of digital innovation business in the reporting period was 5.2 billion yuan, an increase of 42.37% over the same period last year.

According to the report, Midea's main business income is 167.496 billion yuan, including 83.236 billion yuan for heating, ventilation and air conditioning, 66.335 billion yuan for consumer electrical appliances, 13.259 billion yuan for robots and automation systems, and 4.66 billion yuan for other income.

So far, Midea has about 200 subsidiaries, 35 R & D centers and 35 major production bases around the world, with more than 160000 employees and operations in more than 200 countries and regions, according to the report. Among them, there are 20 R & D centers and 18 major production bases overseas, covering more than a dozen countries, with about 30,000 overseas employees and 22 settlement currencies. Midea is also the leading global provider of robotics and intelligent automation solutions to Germany's Kuka Group (about 95%).

‎ CTOnews.com learned that Midea released the 2021 annual report and the 2022 quarterly report on April 29 this year. Midea's total operating income in 2021 was 343.361 billion yuan, an increase of 20.18 percent over the same period last year; the net profit of shareholders belonging to the parent company was 28.574 billion yuan, an increase of 4.96 percent over the same period last year; and basic earnings per share was 4.17 yuan.
