According to reports, Tesla offers two configurations of Model Y in Singapore, with the Model Y rear wheel drive version (RWD) starting at S $91990 (about 453016 yuan) and the Model Y high-performance version starting at S $110990 (about RMB 546583). If users order Model Y now, it is expected to be delivered by the end of this year.

It is reported that Tesla Model Y sold in Singapore is produced by a Shanghai super factory. Tesla is currently exhibiting the model at ION Orchard, a shopping mall in Singapore. Last year, Tesla began installing infrastructure such as super charging piles in Singapore as the Model 3 began to be delivered in Singapore.

In July, Model Y ranked second in sales of all-electric vehicles in the world, after the Wuling Hongguang MINI EV, according to CleanTechnica. Tesla CEO Elon-Musk has previously said that the Model Y will be Tesla's best-selling electric car.

CTOnews.com learned that Tesla delivered 936200 vehicles worldwide in 2021, of which 484100 were delivered by Tesla in China, meaning that the Shanghai super factory contributed more than 50 per cent of production. According to drone observers @ Sawyer Merritt and @ Wu Wa, there are at least 10000 Model 3s and Model Ys waiting to be shipped at Shanghai port on Aug. 21.
