CTOnews.com, August 31, the latest IDC data show that the total IT investment in the global big data market is $217.61 billion (about 1.5 trillion yuan) in 2021, and is expected to increase to $449.11 billion (about 3.1 trillion yuan) in 2026, with a compound growth rate of about 15.6 percent (CAGR) during the five-year forecast period (2021-2026).

In the Chinese market, IDC estimates that China's big data IT expenditure is expected to be $35.95 billion (about 248.414 billion yuan) in 2026, ranking second in a single country. From a growth point of view, China's big data IT expenditure five-year CAGR of about 21.4%, ranking first in the world.

In addition, IDC predicts that IT investment in China's big data hardware market will reach US $13.72 billion (about RMB 94.805 billion) by 2026, more than double that in 2021. From the perspective of industry end-users, professional services, telecommunications, finance and the government will become the main industries of big data-related IT expenditure by 2026.
