According to TSMC CEO's remarks during the Q2 earnings call,"N3E will further expand our N3 family to improve performance, power and yield. We are seeing high customer engagement for N3E, with production scheduled for about a year after N3, or around this time next year. "

Qualcomm's next-generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip obviously cannot be manufactured on a 3nm process and is still manufactured on a 4nm process. It is expected that Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip will adopt a 3nm process for a large number of Android flagship phones in 2024.

The same is true for MediaTek, the world's largest mobile chipset manufacturer, which will release only TSMC 3nm processors by the end of 2023, so only Apple is a big customer for TSMC's "enhanced"3nm mobile chipset production node, which may eventually be used for A17 processors.
