According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, from January to July, the production of mobile phones was 863 million, down 3.6 percent from the same period last year, including 665 million smartphones, down 2.9 percent from the same period last year; 246 million units of microcomputer equipment, down 5.2 percent from the same period last year; and 193.8 billion integrated circuits, down 8 percent from the same period last year.

According to customs statistics, from January to July, China exported 104 million notebook computers, down 17 percent from the same period last year; 470 million mobile phones, down 11.5 percent from the same period last year; and 164.7 billion integrated circuits, down 7.7 percent from the same period last year.

From January to July, the production of China's electronic information manufacturing industry increased steadily, the export scale continued to expand, enterprise revenue increased steadily, and investment maintained rapid growth.

1. Steady growth of production from January to July, the added value of the electronic information manufacturing industry increased by 9.8% over the same period last year, exceeding the growth rate of industry and high-tech manufacturing by 6.3 and 3.9 percentage points, respectively. In July, the added value of the above-scale electronic information manufacturing industry increased by 7.3% from a year earlier, down 3.7 percentage points from June.

From January to July, the output of mobile phones was 863 million, down 3.6 percent from the same period last year, including 665 million smartphones, down 2.9 percent from the same period last year; 246 million units of microcomputer equipment, down 5.2 percent from the same period last year; and 193.8 billion integrated circuits, down 8 percent from the same period last year.

Second, the scale of exports continued to expand from January to July, and the export delivery value of the electronic information manufacturing industry above the scale increased by 7.1% over the same period last year, down 0.2 percentage points from the first half of the year. Among them, in July, the export delivery value of the electronic information manufacturing industry increased by 3.6% compared with the same period last year, down 8.8 percentage points from June.

According to customs statistics, from January to July, China exported 104 million notebook computers, down 17 percent from the same period last year; 470 million mobile phones, down 11.5 percent from the same period last year; and 164.7 billion integrated circuits, down 7.7 percent from the same period last year.

Third, enterprise revenue increased steadily from January to July, the electronic information manufacturing industry above scale achieved operating income of 8.2907 trillion yuan, an increase of 7.9% over the same period last year, an increase of 0.2% over the first half of the year, and operating costs of 7.2205 trillion yuan, an increase of 9% over the same period last year. The total profit realized was 378.4 billion yuan, down 9.6% from the same period last year, and the profit margin of operating income was 4.6%.

Fourth, investment maintains rapid growth from January to July, fixed asset investment in the electronic and information manufacturing industry increased by 18.6% over the same period last year, 8.1 percentage points higher than that of industrial investment in the same period, but 4.3 percentage points lower than that of high-tech manufacturing investment.
