CTOnews.com August 31, AMD released yesterday the flagship model of the Ruilong 7000 processor, the R9 7950X, is now available in Geekbench.

As shown in the figure above, R9 7950X is a 16-core 32-thread, main frequency 4.5GHz, accelerates 5.7GHz 64MB three-level cache, and is equipped with 32GB DDR5-6000 memory.

The single-core running of R9 7950X was 2217, and the multi-core running was 24396. As a reference, the single core score of the previous generation of R9 5950X can reach more than 1700 points, and the multi-core score can reach more than 17000 points. By contrast, R9 7950X has a 29% increase in single-core performance and a 42% increase in multi-core performance.

CTOnews.com learned that according to AMD's data at the press conference, the Ruilong 7000 series processors adopted 5nm technology and Zen4 architecture, and officials said that IPC increased by 13%, coupled with the frequency of 5.7GHz, the single-core performance improved by 29%. The official figures are basically consistent with the Geekbench data.

In addition, AMD compared the R9 7950X with the i9-12900K at the press conference. In terms of game performance, the AMD model improved by 23% in DOTA2, and in terms of creation, the AMD model led the V-Ray by 63%.
