Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

Thanks to CTOnews.com netizens Wu Yanzu in South China for the delivery of clues! CTOnews.com8, August 31, Google released the official version of Android 13 and began to push updates to Pixel phones on August 16. As one of the upgrades to the new system, Android 13 will support the Bluetooth LE Audio standard.

When Google employees made changes to the Android code on August 15, it was revealed that the Pixel 7 series of phones would support the LE Audio Bluetooth standard, 9To5Google reported today. As can be seen in the picture, a Google employee asks whether the relevant XML file set by the Bluetooth LE Audio codec is really used, or is it just an example. Another Google employee responded with a direct link to the Pixel 7 series to add Bluetooth LE Audio settings.

The Google employee calls the Pixel 7 series "p22 / p23a", which refers to Google's Pixel phones, or Pixel 7/7Pro models, which will be released in the fall of 2022. "p23a" refers to the Pixel A-series phones that Google will release in 2023, most likely the Pixel 7A.

Currently, the specific code for Pixel 7/7Pro / 7A has not been made public, so it is not possible to see how the three phones will support the Bluetooth LE Audio standard. However, the Pixel 7/7Pro / 7A series can provide better sound quality, lower power consumption and lower latency as long as it supports the LE Audio Bluetooth standard.

CTOnews.com learned that in January 2020, the Bluetooth Technology Alliance (Bluetooth Special Interest Group, referred to as SIG) released a new generation of Bluetooth audio technology standard-low power audio LE Audio on CES 2020, which will not only improve Bluetooth audio performance, but also provide more powerful support for hearing aid applications and support audio sharing.

On August 20, a video of Google's Pixel 7 Pro prototype was exposed. In addition, Google Pixel 7 Pro has passed FCC certification, which shows that it supports Wi-Fi 6e, Bluetooth and NFC functions. According to previous revelations, the Google Pixel 7 series will be equipped with Google's self-developed Tensor 2 processor and a 2K flexible screen. Pre-orders will begin on October 6 and will go on sale on October 13.
