According to news in the morning of August 31, Beijing time, after receiving new evidence provided by the whistleblower, Tesla CEO Elon Musk (Elon Musk) filed court documents to postpone the trial of Twitter against him until November and amend his indictment against the social media company.

The cause of the case is that Musk abandoned the $44 billion acquisition of Twitter. Twitter thought Musk was in breach of contract and asked him to continue with his acquisition plan. Musk claimed that Twitter failed to provide sufficient information about the robot account.

The court document follows a letter from Mr Musk's lawyer to Twitter earlier Tuesday, citing the whistleblower's allegations as another reason to cancel the deal.

In July, Mr Musk sent his first termination letter to Twitter, accusing the company of misleading itself about fake accounts on its platform.

Now, Musk says the problem is not limited to fake accounts, but also data security and other issues raised by whistleblowers, opening up a new battlefield for both sides.

Last week, Peter Peiter Zatko, Twitter's former security director, said in a letter to US regulators that Twitter focused on user growth while ignoring spam and lied about having a strong security plan.

Musk and Twitter filed a lawsuit against each other in Delaware court, and the five-day trial is scheduled to begin on October 17.

On Tuesday, local time, Musk applied to the judge to continue to present his case before November 10, and then held a meeting to discuss what evidence could be presented in court. Mr Musk said the trial could begin later in the month, "depending on the arrangements of the court".

The motion to supplement the indictment was secretly submitted to the Delaware Court of Chancery.

Twitter wants the court to rule on Musk to complete the deal of $54.20 a share. Musk countersued, accusing Twitter of fraud.

Legal experts believe that the letter of complaint from the whistleblower brought uncertainty to the case, but did not completely reverse the dominant situation of Twitter.

"Musk has not yet been charged with federal securities fraud." Said Eric Tarly, a professor at Columbia Law School.

Meanwhile, Twitter applied on Tuesday to reject Musk's application to continue to add documents before 2022, calling the motion an "attempt to undermine the trial plan."
