According to sources, Apple is increasing shipments of the iPhone 14 series of displays. Samsung has captured more than 80% of apple panel shipments in the past three months, accounting for the largest share, according to market analysts.

DSCC said Apple aims to get a total of 3400 million iPhone 14 series panels from suppliers including Samsung, LG Display and BOE China. Apple bought 1.8 million iPhone 14 series panels in June, 5.35 million in July and more than 10 million in August. Apple is expected to order another 16.5 million panels in September.

The upcoming iPhone 14 series will be made up of four models, and Samsung will be the main panel supplier for most of Apple's planned iPhone.

In the past three months, Apple has ordered more than 1500 iPhone 14 series panels. Between June and August, Samsung showed that it successfully completed up to 82 per cent of orders for iPhone 14 series panels.

LG Display came in second with a 12% share of orders. More specifically, LG will start shipping the iPhone 14 series of screens in September. Due to "technical challenges", its production capacity can not meet Apple's needs.

Finally, BOE covers 6 per cent of all iPhone 14 series panel orders. According to reports, the company was recently suspended for unannounced changes to Apple's display panel design, but its panels are cheaper than Samsung and LG, so it is reported that Apple will continue to use JD.com boards to produce cheaper iPhone models.

So far, Samsung is the only supplier of iPhone 14 Pro Max panels to Apple, CTOnews.com has learned. LG Display has not yet managed to do so, but is expected to join the supply line by the end of September.
