Qingdao Metro Line 4 is a major provincial implementation project in 2022, and it is also an important project for Qingdao urban renewal and urban construction in the past three years. At present, the No. 4 passenger cars have entered the joint commissioning and testing stage, 33 of the 37 passenger trains on the line have reached the section, 24 dynamic and static dispatching have been completed, and 6 cars have been put on the line for joint dispatching.

CTOnews.com learned that Qingdao Metro Line 4 runs from the people's Hall Station to Dahedong Station, with a total length of about 31 kilometers, all underground lines, with a total of 25 stations.

In the pattern of Qingdao subway network, Line 4 plays a very special and important role. Because of the large number of transfer stations, the entire subway network is "netted" like a "golden belt". It has become a rapid rail transit corridor and passenger artery running through the east and west of the island city. Among the six lines that have been opened so far, there are four transfer stations for Line 3, Line 2 and Line 1, one transfer station for the northern section of Line 8, Line 11 and Line 13, and seven transfer stations for the whole network. After the opening of Line 4, it will transfer with seven stations on existing lines 1, 2, 3 and 11, doubling the number of transfer stations in the entire Qingdao subway network from 7 to 14.

The 7 transfer stations of Line 4 are people's Hall Station (transfer on Line 3 and 4), Guanxiangshan (Municipal Hospital) Station (transfer on Line 1 and 4), Taishan Road Station (transfer on Line 2 and 4), Haipoqiao Station (transfer on Line 1 and 4), Cuobuling Station (transfer on Line 3 and 4), Liaoyang East Road Station (transfer on Line 2 and 4), Zhangcun Station (transfer on Line 4 and 11). It is of great significance to promote the shaping of Qingdao rail transit backbone network, and will undertake the important mission of "running through the east and west and extending in all directions" in the whole line network.
