According to the announcement, SUNING's revenue in the first half of the year was 37.209 billion yuan, down 60.25 percent from the same period last year; the loss was 2.74 billion yuan, compared with 5.024 billion yuan in the same period last year, and the loss narrowed by 20.60 percent compared with the same period last year. Of this total, the loss in the second quarter was 1.712 billion yuan, which was 56.20% lower than that in the second quarter of 2021.

According to the financial report, SUNING Retail Cloud opened 1111 new stores in the first half of the year. SUNING's comprehensive gross profit margin increased by 9.00% in the first half of the year compared with the same period last year, and the company's total expenses during the period decreased by 40.1% compared with the same period last year.

During the reporting period, the net cash flow generated by SUNING's business activities was positive. In terms of profit performance, without taking into account the influence of non-operating cash flow-related factors, SUNING's EBITDA (EBITDA means excluding non-operating cash flow factors on the basis of profit before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization) was 859 million yuan in the first half of the year, which was better than in the second half of last year. Of this total, EBITDA was 260 million yuan in the first quarter and 599 million yuan in the second quarter, achieving quarter-on-quarter EBITDA growth. Excluding the changes in the fair value of financial assets and the impact of exchange gains and losses, the net profit of shareholders belonging to the parent company in the second quarter decreased by 13.71% compared with the same caliber in the first quarter, and by 73.04% compared with the same period last year.

During the reporting period, SUNING owned 1589 professional stores specializing in home appliances 3C home life. SUNING Retail Cloud opened 1111 new stores in the first half of the year, with a total of 9749. Retail cloud sales increased by 5% in the first half of the year compared with the same period last year, and retail cloud sales increased by 53% in June compared with the same period last year.

It is worth noting that during the reporting period, SUNING's main business gross profit margin increased by 4.82% year-on-year, and other business gross profit margin increased by 4.18% year-on-year, resulting in a 9.00% year-on-year increase in the company's comprehensive gross profit margin to 20.31%. During the reporting period, the company's operating expenses decreased by 47.82% compared with the same period last year.
