CTOnews.com, August 30, Intel recently released a new driver set for multiple wireless adapters. The main highlights of this update are support for the upcoming Windows 11 22H2 update (also known as the 2022 update), as well as several fixes for known issues.

Intel Wi-Fi driver version 22.160.0 is now available on the official website. The latest version supports Windows 10 and Windows 11 (not Windows 7 and Windows 8) on systems with the following Intel wireless adapters: Wi-Fi 6e, Wi-Fi 6, 9000, 8000, and 7000.

Driver package 22.160.0 has been verified to support Microsoft Windows 11 22H2.

Fix the error:

When using Intel Wi-Fi 6 wireless adapters, throughput performance issues occur after resuming from hibernation.

When using PC with Intel Wi-Fi 6 wireless adapters in hotspot mode, some Android devices may experience downlink throughput performance degradation.

When roaming from a 2.4GHz network to a 5GHz network with a different SSID, the PC may not be able to obtain the IP address.

Currently, only Wi-Fi drivers are compatible with Windows 11 22H2 support, but users can expect Intel to provide the same processing for its Bluetooth drivers.

CTOnews.com learned that Intel is not the only company preparing drivers for the Windows 11 22H2 update, which is rumored to be released on September 20. AMD also recently released a new chipset driver optimized for Microsoft's latest Windows 11 operating system.
