Recently, Google has released the winners of the 2022 doctoral Scholarship (Google PhD Fellowship). This year, a number of Chinese doctoral students have been selected, accounting for about 30% of the total.

Many of them have studied for undergraduate and master's degrees in mainland universities, including Tsinghua University, Peking University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Zhejiang University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Shandong University, Xi'an University of Electronic Science and Technology, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Capital Medical University, etc. All of them are strong, some graduated from Yao class, some won numerous awards, some harvested the best papers, and some had many internships in well-known big factories.

According to the published list of the project, a total of 61 doctoral students were selected in 14 directions this year, including 12 in "machine learning", 9 in "machine perception, voice technology and computer vision", 6 in "natural language processing", 5 in "privacy and security" and 7 in "human-computer interaction".

Google's doctoral fellowship program was founded in 2009 to reward doctoral students with outstanding performance in computer science and related disciplines or other forward-looking research fields. Since its inception, the program has supported hundreds of students from Australia, China and East Asia, India, North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Selected doctoral students will receive a bonus that can be used to pay grants and other research-related activities, which vary from region to region, as well as the opportunity to work with Google research mentors.

In addition, Google PhD Fellows is invited to participate in the global PhD Fellowship Summit every year, where they have access to the most advanced research being done by Google and communicate with Google researchers and other doctoral students from around the world.

The following is an introduction to some selected Chinese doctoral students:
