However, if players still want to buy games on 3DS and Wii U's eShop, they can choose to recharge on Switch and use the shared balance to buy.

Nintendo has previously said that the eShop of Nintendo Wii U and 3DS will no longer support the purchase of games, new content and in-house content by late March 2023. However, Nintendo has not completely abandoned Wii U and 3DS, and officials say that even after late March 2023, players will still be able to download games and DLC again, receive software updates and enjoy games on Wii U and 3DS series systems for the foreseeable future.
