According to reports, after the law comes into effect, e-cigarettes will no longer have any legal channels to enter the Macao SAR, and it is illegal for mail, e-commerce and smuggling. Anyone who violates the above regulations will be fined 4000 patacas. If you bring an e-cigarette through Macau, your luggage will not enter Macau, but will not be affected by transit or transit.

Ouyang Yu, director of the Department of Social and Cultural Affairs of Macao, previously said that the New Tobacco Control Law has been in force for more than a decade, and the tobacco use rate in Macao has continued to decline. among them, the cigarette use rate of people aged 15 and over gradually dropped from 16.6% before the New Tobacco Control Law came into force to 10.7% in 2019, a relative drop of 35.5%.

According to the standard, the concentration of nicotine in electronic aerosols should not be higher than 20mg / g, and the total amount of nicotine should not be higher than 200mg. Limit requirements are made for atomized impurities and pollutants such as heavy metals and arsenic. The allowable additives and the maximum amount of additives in the atomizer were determined. It is also required that the electronic cigarette set should have the protective function of preventing children from starting and preventing accidental starting.

In addition, in March this year, the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration issued a notice on the "measures for the Administration of Electronic cigarettes", which came into force on May 1, 2022.
