In addition, by the end of July this year, the national geographic information public service platform "Sky Map" had more than 814 million daily map visits, with more than 807,900 registered development users and more than 731,800 supporting applications.

It is said that China's Ministry of Natural Resources has formed a normalization mechanism for remote sensing image data security. In 2021,4 versions of 2-meter resolution remote sensing images will be produced (1 version per quarter), covering all the six regions of China;1 version of 1-meter resolution remote sensing images will be produced, covering some cities east and west of Heihe-Tengchong line.

CTOnews.com understands that Internet map service units should obtain corresponding Internet map service mapping qualifications according to law and provide Internet map services within the scope permitted by the qualifications. The compilation (including editing and processing, format conversion, quality evaluation) and updating of Internet maps must be undertaken by units that have obtained the qualification for surveying and mapping the professional scope of electronic map compilation or navigation electronic map production.

Internet maps must be submitted for review by the corresponding Internet map compilation unit in accordance with the relevant administrative provisions on map review. Internet maps that have not been examined and approved according to law shall not be published or transmitted publicly.

No unit or individual may publish on the Internet maps that endanger state sovereignty and national dignity, and may not transmit or mark on the Internet geographical information that may endanger state sovereignty and security.

Internet map review number valid for two years. If the content of the map representation changes within the validity period of the drawing approval number or before the expiration of the drawing approval number, it shall be resubmitted for approval to obtain a new drawing approval number.

Internet map service units providing value-added services (including browsing, searching, navigation, positioning, labeling, copying, linking, sending, forwarding, citing, embedding, downloading, etc.) must use Internet maps examined and approved by the competent department of natural resources.
