In the first half of this year, BOE's net profit in the first half of this year was 6.596 billion yuan, down 48.94% from the same period last year; basic earnings per share fell 54.77%. BOE's operating income in the first half of the year was 91.61 billion yuan, down 15.66% from the same period last year.

BOE said that in the first half of this year, the semiconductor display industry remained low, the prices of major panel products fell, and the company's operating revenue declined.

Last Thursday, BOE received a notice from Apple about the certification of the iPhone 14 AMOLED panel, the report said. BOE will put into mass production ahead of schedule in July and start mass shipments in September. This time the certification was passed earlier than the previous iPhone 12 and 13 series in the current year.

According to industry estimates, Apple will purchase more than 90 million flexible AMOLED panels for iPhone 14 in 2022, including 6000 million for Samsung display (SDC), 25 million for LGD and 5 million for BOE.

It is reported that BOE shipped the 6.1in panel of iPhone 12 in December 2020 and iPhone 13 in October 2021.
