CTOnews.com August 29 news, BYD Co., Ltd. released its semi-annual report today: revenue of 150.607 billion yuan in the first half of the year increased by 65.71% over the same period last year, and net profit increased by 206.35% over the same period last year.

BYD Group achieved revenue of about 150.607 billion yuan in the first half of this year, an increase of 65.71 percent over the same period last year.

Of this total, the revenue from the automobile, automobile-related products and other products business was about 109.267 billion yuan, up 130.31% from the same period last year; the revenue from the mobile phone parts, assembly and other products business was about 41.07 billion yuan, down 4.78% from the same period last year; accounted for 72.55% and 27.27% of the group's total revenue, respectively.

According to reports, BYD Group accounted for 24.7% of the market for new energy vehicles in the first half of the year, an increase of more than 7.5 percentage points over 2021.

In the field of new energy passenger cars, the group's pure electric and plug-in hybrid models accounted for nearly 29% of the market in July.

In terms of shareholders, BYD's largest natural person shareholder during the reporting period is still Wang Chuanfu, with a shareholding ratio of 17.64%.

The gem listing Committee of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange has determined that BYD Semiconductor Co., Ltd. (IPO) meets the issuance conditions, listing conditions and information disclosure requirements. As of the date of disclosure of this report, the decision of the China Securities Regulatory Commission to agree to the issuance registration procedure for this spin-off listing is uncertain.

CTOnews.com learned that BYD's turnover fell 1.88 per cent to 43.694 billion yuan in the first half of this year, gross profit fell 23.94 per cent to 2.328 billion yuan, and net profit of 634 million yuan fell 61.43 per cent compared with the same period last year.
