CTOnews.com, August 28 (Xinhua)-- Mercedes-Benz has released the specifications of 2023 models of its EQ series of pure electric vehicles, and a variety of models will be unveiled in the United States.

Foreign media believe that 2023 may prove to be the "year of EQ" because the German luxury carmaker will make every effort to develop its EQ series of pure electric vehicles and will completely abandon fuel vehicles in the future.

Although Mercedes-Benz has many models in China, American users can only buy two versions of the EQS sedan, and then Mercedes-Benz will launch two versions of the small EQE. With the addition of EQS sedans and EQE SUV, AMG EQS and Mercedes-Benz's most affordable EQB SUV, Mercedes-Benz's market share in electric cars has grown nearly tenfold.

According to reports, EQS SUV has started production in Alabama this week and will also produce EQE SUV in the United States later this year.

Mercedes announced that new versions of EQS and EQE will be launched in 2023. This includes the EQS 450 4MATIC, which currently has 450 + and 580 4MATIC, as well as the 350 4MATIC version of EQE, as well as the previously announced 350 + and 500 4MATIC models.

In addition, Mercedes also said that the 2023 model will include the AMG version of the EQE sedan, which is basically in line with the previously announced AMG EQS.

The Mercedes-AMG EQE will bring sporty and "impressive power". This model is equipped with a powerful 328V high-performance drive battery, manufactured with the latest lithium-ion technology, and the powertrain maintains the AMG Performance 4MATIC + variable all-wheel drive system. According to reports, this system can continuously distribute driving torque between the front and rear axles according to driving conditions, ensuring a faster response speed than the mechanical all-wheel drive system.

Mercedes has yet to disclose more performance specifications for the new AMG, but according to the carmaker, the 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQ series of all-electric models will include at least:
