CTOnews.com, Aug. 28 (Reuters)-Dell Technologies said on Saturday that it had stopped all operations in Russia after closing its offices in mid-August.

Dell suspended sales in Ukraine and Russia in February and said it would monitor the situation to determine what to do next.

Today, Dell spokesman Mike Siemienas told Reuters: "in mid-August, we closed our offices and stopped all Russian operations."

"as early as February, we decided not to sell, serve or support products in Russia, Belarus and the Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine."

CTOnews.com learned that foreign media CNews and TAdviser both reported this week that Dell would withdraw completely from Russia and would fire all local employees. The Russian Ministry of Industry said on Friday that many researchers and engineers working for Dell in Russia had been given new jobs following media reports that Dell had withdrawn altogether.

Prior to this, due to the war between Russia and Ukraine, a number of Western technology companies have announced the suspension of business in Russia, including Apple, Microsoft, Intel and so on.
