Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
CTOnews.com August 28, according to VGC, Nightdive Studios CEO Stephen Kick said in an interview that the copyright of "Internet Raider 3" originally licensed to OtherSide Entertainment has been sold to Tencent and retained in Tencent.
CTOnews.com learned that Nightdive Studios is the owner of the "System Shock" IP. "Tencent currently owns the rights to the third game. We only have the right to reproduce the first-generation games and possibly the second-generation games," Kick explained.
Kick pointed out that whether to make third-generation games now depends on Tencent. If you want to develop the third generation of games and decide to continue, Tencent can make more sequels to "Internet Raiders" in the future. "I think Tencent can continue to be the fourth and fifth generation technically, but they must first make the third generation."
At present, Nightdive is developing the upcoming remake of "Internet Raiders". The game has been in development since 2016 and no release date has been announced. However, the game will be available this week at Gamescom 2022, one of the world's three major game shows (Cologne International Game Show 2022).
