CTOnews.com August 28, the 25th Chengdu Motor Show opened on August 26. At this auto show, Chery announced the world's first new energy hybrid technology brand-"DP-i Intelligent Hybrid Architecture". Ruihu 7 PLUS New Energy is the first model under the "DP-i Intelligent Hybrid Architecture".

CTOnews.com learned that the Chery DP-i intelligent hybrid architecture is composed of three systems: i-HEC Zhixiao, i-BMS Smart Electric and i-DHT Smart Core.

Chery said that the hybrid architecture has four dedicated hybrid core components developed independently-- hybrid dedicated high-efficiency engine, hybrid dedicated DHT electric mixing system, hybrid dedicated battery system, hybrid dedicated AC / DC vehicle charger.

According to reports, based on the fully upgraded IV generation "i-HEC" intelligent combustion system, a new electronically controlled high efficiency variable geometry interface turbocharging system, and deep Miller cycle technology, the Chery hybrid engine can achieve a compression ratio of 16:1 and a maximum thermal efficiency of 43.9%.

In addition, the "DP-i intelligent hybrid architecture" is equipped with Chery hybrid special DHT electric mixing system, with engine + dual motor intelligent double core, and three power sources combination. When matched with the Chery hybrid special battery system, the Chery hybrid DHT electric mixing system can achieve pure electric life up to 150km and comprehensive mileage of the highest 1300km, with a fuel consumption of 4.5-6.5L.

Chery data shows that the related products of "DP-i Intelligent Hybrid Architecture" can be charged to 80% in 25 minutes when using DC fast charging power 36kW, and can be fully charged in 2.5 hours when using AC power 6.6kW charging posts.

Chery pointed out that a number of hybrid products based on Chery DP-i intelligent hybrid architecture will enter consumers' lives one after another in the near future. Sales of Chery's new energy models rose again in July, reaching 25617 units a month, up 253 per cent from a year earlier.
