As one of the leaders of the domestic and global power battery industry, Ningde era has a lot of accumulation and achievements in promoting the development of battery technology and global carbon neutralization.

Not long ago, Ningde era also produced Kirin batteries, M3P batteries and other important technology products, so in this speech, Zeng Yuqun showed us the achievements of Ningde era in battery technology and how it views the development prospects of the global carbon-neutral power battery industry.
This is also the Ningde era announced on August 1 high-level adjustment, Zeng Yuqun personally served as the company's general manager, the first time in the high-profile industry conference speech. 1. Advanced battery technology is the foundation of comprehensive electrification to support new energy vehicles, which has experienced a budding stage to a rapid development stage in the past decade, and has now reached the key node of the ecological construction of the whole automobile industry.
Zeng Yuqun said that the penetration rate of new energy passenger vehicles in China has been around 25% for five consecutive months this year, reaching 26.7% in July and less than 15% last year. This shows that full electrification will be an irresistible situation in the automobile industry. Then in this context, advanced power battery technology has become an important support for the development of the industry.
A very intuitive figure is that between 2010 and 2021, the global passenger car electrification rate has gone from zero to 9%, and according to projections, this figure will grow rapidly to 62% by 2030.
In view of this background, Ningde era also made a very large investment in technological research and development. Zeng Yuqun said that Ningde Times spent nearly 6 billion yuan on R & D in the first half of this year. At present, the group has a total of 12132 R & D personnel.
In just two years from 2020 to 2022, there were more than 4000 patent applications in the Ningde era, of which 78 per cent were invention patents.

In terms of products, Ningde Times has come up with the Kirin battery for high-end electric vehicles. If the Kirin battery Pack is composed of iron phosphate cells, the energy density of the system is higher than 160Wh/kg, while the ternary Kirin battery is 255Wh/kg. And the Kirin battery can achieve a charge rate of 4C, charge 80% in 10 minutes, and meet the mileage of 1000 km.
In addition, the M3P new material technology of the Ningde era can increase the battery energy density by 10% to 20%, and the battery life with Kirin battery can reach 700 km.
In the field of power exchange, Ningde era also has deployment. In the first half of this year, Ningde Times launched the power exchange brand EVOGO, which allows consumers to rent electricity on demand. At present, the service has been launched in Xiamen and Hefei.
Zeng Yuqun believes that based on this power exchange mode, assuming that the original price of an all-electric model is 12,000 to 140,000, through the separation of car and electricity, consumers can buy a car body for as little as 60,000 to 80,000. Then choose a variety of battery rental and replacement services according to the actual car scenarios.
For family cars, the cost of battery rental and power replacement can also save a lot of money each month compared with the cost of refueling. For online car-hailing, the electric car with chocolate battery pack / replacement board (EVOGO's mass-produced battery specially designed for shared power exchange) can increase the income of the driver by more than 1000 yuan a month compared to the original waiting time for charging.
2. Carbon reduction of power battery itself has become an important issue. At present, the carbon management of power battery abroad has taken the lead in policies and regulations. For example, the European Union is legislating "Fit For 55" and the "EU Battery Law" have already made requirements on the carbon emission standards of power batteries, while the United States has also put forward the Clean Competition Act CCA (proposal).
Therefore, Zeng Yuqun believes that it is urgent to promote the establishment of China's power battery carbon emission calculation standards and databases. And the next step, we need to give full play to China's advantages in the power battery supply chain, pull through the docking and mutual recognition of international standards and databases.
So how should standards be set?
Zeng Yuqun proposed that the actual data based on the industry chain is the basis for the formulation of standards. At present, the global power battery supply chain is concentrated in three East Asian countries, but due to the absence of carbon footprint standards, many key data can not be updated in time, resulting in the carbon footprint of similar power battery products produced by China, Japan and South Korea is obviously on the high side, which is not in line with the actual situation.
Back to itself, Ningde era also put forward a zero-carbon battery solution, from ore, to bulk raw materials, battery raw materials, cells, systems have achieved zero-carbon production.

In addition, Ningde era has also created an efficient battery recycling technology to support low-carbon development. Among the scrapped batteries, the recovery rate of nickel, cobalt and manganese materials has reached 99.3%, and the recovery rate of lithium materials has reached 90%.
At the end of the speech, Zeng Yuqun said that most of the carbon dioxide emissions can be reduced through energy restructuring, and the rest need to be truly zero carbon through technological innovation or carbon offset technology.
