Through the new plant, Panasonic will further increase production capacity to ensure the supply of batteries for Tesla and other electric car manufacturers.

In July, Panasonic announced a new power battery plant in Kansas. This means that if the negotiations are successful, Panasonic will build a $4 billion battery plant in Oklahoma on top of the Kansas power battery plant.

Panasonic believes that the battery production business of electric vehicles will play a vital role in its development, as consumers have begun to take the initiative to choose new energy vehicles, the report said.

In addition, although Panasonic has been supplying batteries to Tesla for a long time, Panasonic has been expanding more slowly than South Korea's LG New Energy Company and China's Ningde era.
