CTOnews.com, August 26 (Xinhua) as more and more people play games on mobile phones, the popularity of mobile games continues to soar. Although the market share of PC games has been declining steadily in recent years, it is still a growing game market.

According to Statista, the PC platform was second only to mobile and console games in 2021, and last year alone in the United States, PC game revenue was still as high as $36.7 billion.

Google is also starting to tap the potential of PC devices. Google's PC version of the Google Play game has entered public beta in five markets: South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand and Australia.

Google Google Play Game PC is a program that allows users to play Android games on Windows computers. The minimum specifications for this application update are as follows:

Windows 10 version 2004 or later

Quad core CPU

Intel UHD Graphics 630 GPU or equivalent

8GB memory

10GB SSD storage

According to Google blog posts, the app currently supports more than 50 games.

"in the past few months, the Google Play game catalog has more than doubled to more than 50 games that can be played on Windows PC through independent applications built by Google. The catalogue includes many of the world's most popular mobile games, including Summoners War, Cookie Run: Kingdom, Last Fortress: Underground and Top War. Hundreds of millions of players around the world play these games together."

CTOnews.com has learned that Google's PC version of Google Play games will be available in other regions later this year, but has not yet provided further details.
