CTOnews.com August 26 news, today, Letv Super TV officially released a supplementary note on Letv TV's "Panda LCD screen" products, saying that although Panda's after-sales responsibility to Letv has not been fulfilled and the two sides have so far failed to reach an effective plan, the normal after-sales service has never been affected, and it will not be affected by the dispute between Letv and Panda in the future.

CTOnews.com learned that Letv pointed out in a statement that user problems will continue to be solved, and whether to launch special after-sales service will be considered according to the extent of the quality problems of the three models. Letv explained in detail as follows:

1. Among the three televisions, Y43, F43 and F55, only the quality accidents occurred in the contract manufacturing of "Panda".

The products we disclose with quality problems only refer to the Y43, F43 and F55 models produced by Nanjing China Electric Panda Home Appliances Co., Ltd. and its Dongguan branch, the quality problems of the above three models have been locked into the quality problem of "panda LCD", that is, the material of the "panda screen" used, and does not involve other suppliers' screens, other quality factors and other models. Letv's cooperation with Panda began in early 2019 and ended in March 2022. Letv TV currently cooperates with domestic mainstream high-quality manufacturers (such as CW, HK, etc.) to ensure the quality of products and protect the rights and interests of users. Y43, F43 and F55 models are also produced by a number of suppliers at the same time, of which 29% of Y43 and F43 TVs come from the Panda factory. Among the three products, only the TVs produced by China Electric Power Panda have quality accidents.

2. The after-sales problem of "Panda" contract TV will not be affected by our dispute with Panda.

Although Letv capital crisis broke out, we have experienced an extremely difficult period, brand reputation damage, a large number of user complaints, and even a lot of rumors about Letv's "bankruptcy". However, this has not affected our determination and confidence to regain our reputation and rebuild our brand. We have never changed our concept of attaching importance to product quality and after-sales service. Therefore, although Panda's after-sales responsibility to Letv has not been fulfilled earnestly, the two sides have so far failed to reach an effective plan, but Letv's after-sales responsibility to users is a matter between Letv and users, and this part of after-sales service has been kept in a normal state and has never been affected. In the future, it will not be affected by the dispute between Letv and Panda. We will continue to solve user problems. This is Letv's attitude and action as always as a brand party. In the follow-up, we will consider whether to launch special after-sales service according to the degree of quality problems of these three models, and please continue to pay attention and supervision.

Now that Letv TV business is back on track, we will try our best to do a good job in product quality and after-sales, so as to bring users a "fast and good" after-sales service experience. We will continue to provide after-sales service according to the following standards: after receiving the user's request for repair, the customer service will contact the user within 24 hours, and the urban area will be handled within 24 hours (48 hours in other counties and suburban areas. Xinjiang, Qinghai, Xizang, 96 hours), non-screen maintenance within 7 days, screen maintenance within 15 days to solve the problem.

3. Face the deficiency and strengthen the management to avoid similar quality control problems in the future.

The Y43, F43 and F55 models produced in cooperation with Panda have quality accidents, and we do have deficiencies in quality control. We believe too much in the halo of central enterprises of "Panda" and mistakenly think that "Panda" will correct and deal with the quality problems in time.

Y43, F43 and F55 were produced in October 2019 and December 2019 respectively. After listing, we found abnormalities through market tracking and bad data monitoring, and stopped production of Y43 models in April 2020. In June and July 2020, Panda provided analysis reports on screen defects of various models, as well as improvement plans. In the spirit of cooperation and trust, we agree that F43 and F55 will continue to use the original screen. As the follow-up market defect rate is still high, "Panda" can not be effectively improved, so our quality department officially issued a ban notice on the original model screen in November 2020. In April and May of 2021, Panda replaced the F55 and F43 models with BOE screens (not the "panda screens" produced by the original Chengdu factory), and the quality problem was solved.
