Beijing, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) Musk asked Twitter for user information, but a US judge rejected Musk's request because the information Musk asked for was too broad. Still, Mr Musk is not getting nothing, and he will still get some data.

On July 8, Musk announced that he would terminate the acquisition because Twitter refused to provide relevant information, and the judge thought that most of the data and documents requested by Musk had been obtained before July 8.

The judge ordered Twitter to submit 9000 sample accounts to Musk from the fourth quarter, which can be used to estimate how many spam or robot accounts there are on the Twitter platform. Twitter said the data no longer existed and that remaking was a burden, and the judge gave Twitter two weeks to produce it.

Twitter said at a hearing on Wednesday that it didn't matter legally that Musk clung to junk accounts because the company had said in regulatory filings that the data were just estimates. The true number of spam accounts may be higher.
