In addition, the task profile of the taxiing section is simulated after the first start, and the temperature change data of the propellant at the engine inlet and in the pump cavity are obtained, which provides a basis for optimizing the pressure of the propellant tank and the precooling process before the secondary start.

The TQ-12A engine was established and developed in February 2021. On the basis of fully inheriting the TQ-12 engine technology, through design optimization and improvement, the engine thrust is increased by 9%, the specific impulse is increased by 40m / s, and the weight is reduced by 100kg.

The success of the TQ-12A second starting test indicates that the Blue Arrow Aerospace "Tianque" series liquid oxygen methane engine has fully possessed the reusable ability, effectively enhanced the launch capability of various mission orbit satellites of the "Vermilion Bird" series carrier rockets, and provided the basic technical guarantee for the recovery demand and reuse of the sub-stage.

This round of commissioning has been carried out for a total of 6 times and the cumulative commissioning time is 900s. This round of commissioning focuses on examining the secondary starting ability of the engine, the feasibility and long-range working reliability of the engine and its components, and the coordination between the engine and the overall controller. The thrust regulation ability, working stability and thrust and mixing ratio control strategy of the engine in the range of 50% to 110% are verified.

As of July 31, 2022, the Tianque 80-ton liquid oxygen methane engine has completed the thermal test of 37 prototypes, with a total of more than 20, 000 seconds, and the longest test run of a single machine is 11 times, totaling 3357 seconds.
