CTOnews.com understands that Valve changed its Steam Deck storage specifications in late May to increase productivity, and some Steam Deck handsets will be equipped with NVMe PCIe Gen3 x2 SSDs. Although the specifications have shrunk, Valve claims that its game performance will not be affected.

Earlier this month, V announced that Steam Deck would be available in more locations. Steam Deck, powered by Komodo, will be available later this year in Japan, South Korea, China Taiwan and China Hong Kong.

In terms of price, Steam Deck China Hong Kong starts at HK $3288 (about RMB 2827.68), Taiwan, China Taiwan starts at NT $13380 (about RMB 3023.88), Japan starts at 59800 yen (about RMB 3019.9), and South Korea starts at 589000 won (about RMB 3039.24).

Steam Deck is powered by AMD's Van Gogh APU, which uses Zen2 architecture, 4-core specification, 2.4 GHz to 3.5 GHz. On the GPU side, the Van Gogh APU integrates an 8 CU RDNA2 GPU with frequencies from 1.0 GHz to 1.6 GHz and performance of 1.6TFops FP32. The entire SoC has a TDP of 4 to 15W, supports LPDDR5 memory, and has a capacity of 16GB.
