CTOnews.com, August 25, according to the website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, from January to July, China's software and information technology service industry (hereinafter referred to as the software industry) operated steadily, software business income maintained double-digit growth, total profits increased steadily, and software business export growth continued to pick up.

First, the overall operation of the software business revenue maintained double-digit growth. From January to July, the revenue of China's software business was 5.456 trillion yuan, an increase of 10.3 percent over the same period last year, and the growth rate was 0.6 percentage points lower than that of the first half of the year.

The total profit increased steadily. From January to July, the profits of the software industry totaled 569.8 billion yuan, up 6.6 percent from the same period last year, and the growth rate was 0.7 percent lower than that in the first half of the year.

The export growth rate of software business continues to pick up. From January to July, software business exports totaled US $29.8 billion, an increase of 4.3% over the same period last year, and the growth rate increased by 0.3% over the first half of the year. Among them, the export of software outsourcing services increased by 7.5% compared with the same period last year.

Second, the operation of software products in different areas, the growth rate of software product revenue is steady and slow. From January to July, the revenue of software products was 1.3315 trillion yuan, an increase of 9.9 percent over the same period last year, down 0.3 percentage points from the first half of the year, accounting for 24.4 percent of the industry's income. Of this total, revenue from industrial software products totaled 121.9 billion yuan, an increase of 8.7 percent over the same period last year.

Revenue from information technology services has maintained relatively rapid growth. From January to July, the revenue of information technology services was 3.576 trillion yuan, an increase of 11.0 percent over the same period last year, down 1 percentage point from the first half of the year, accounting for 65.5 percent of the industry's income. Of this total, the revenue from cloud computing and big data services totaled 551.7 billion yuan, an increase of 8.0 percent over the same period last year, accounting for 15.4 percent of the revenue from information technology services; the revenue from integrated circuit design was 159.1 billion yuan, up 13.5 percent from the same period last year; and the revenue from technical services for e-commerce platforms was 533.4 billion yuan, up 15.4 percent from the same period last year.

The growth of information security revenue has accelerated. From January to July, revenue from information security products and services totaled 94.2 billion yuan, an increase of 11.9 percent over the same period last year, and an increase of 0.5 percentage points over the first half of the year.

The growth rate of embedded system software revenue increased slightly. From January to July, the revenue of embedded system software was 454.4 billion yuan, an increase of 6.3% over the same period last year and 1.3% higher than that of the first half of the year.

III. Operation by region the growth rate of software business income in the eastern region has slowed down, while the western region has taken the lead in growth.

From January to July, the software business revenue in the eastern region was 4.4851 trillion yuan, an increase of 9.5% over the same period last year, and the growth rate was 0.7% lower than that in the first half of the year.

The revenue from software business in the central region was 247 billion yuan, an increase of 14.0% over the same period last year, which was 3.7% higher than the overall growth rate of the industry as a whole.

The revenue from software business in the western region was 602.7 billion yuan, an increase of 15.7% over the same period last year, which was 5.4% higher than the overall growth rate of the industry as a whole.

The revenue from software business in Northeast China was 121.1 billion yuan, an increase of 7.1% over the same period last year, and the growth rate was 0.8% higher than that in the first half of the year.

The software business income of the four regions accounted for 82.2%, 4.5%, 11.0% and 2.2% of the total national income, respectively.

The share of revenue in major software provinces fell slightly. From January to July, among the top five provinces with software business revenue, the software income of Beijing, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shandong and Shanghai was 1.1672 trillion yuan, 979.2 billion yuan, 687.1 billion yuan, 493.7 billion yuan and 441.5 billion yuan respectively, an increase of 10.5%, 8.6%, 5.5%, 17.8% and 10.4% respectively. The total software business income of the five provinces (cities) was 37687 yuan, accounting for 69.1% of the country. Compared with the same period last year, it fell by 0.2 percentage points.

The revenue of software business in the central city grew steadily, and the growth of total profits accelerated. From January to July, the software business income of 15 vice-provincial central cities across the country reached 2.7645 trillion yuan, an increase of 8.3 percent over the same period last year, down 1 percentage point from the first half of the year, accounting for 50.7 percent of the national software business income, accounting for 0.9 percentage points lower than the same period last year. The total profit was 319.8 billion yuan, an increase of 5.9% over the same period last year, and an increase of 0.3 percentage points over the first half of the year. Among them, the growth rate of software business income in Ningbo, Jinan, Xiamen, Qingdao, Dalian, Xi'an, Guangzhou, Wuhan and Shenyang exceeds the overall growth rate of the industry.
