August 25 news, TCL Central released the 2022 semi-annual report. The report shows that in the first half of 2022, TCL Central achieved operating income of 31.698 billion yuan, an increase of 79.65 percent over the same period last year; net profit of 3.225 billion yuan, up 68.39 percent over the same period last year; and net profit of 2.917 billion yuan belonging to shareholders of listed companies, an increase of 92.10 percent over the same period last year.

Specifically, the photovoltaic silicon wafer business achieved an operating income of 24.667 billion yuan, an increase of 74.14% over the same period last year; the photovoltaic battery module business achieved an operating income of 4.763 billion yuan, an increase of 116.41% over the same period last year; and the semiconductor materials business achieved an operating income of 1.538 billion yuan, an increase of 79.90% over the same period last year.

In the first half of 2022, the total photovoltaic single crystal production capacity of TCL Central reached 109GW, up 24% from the same period last year, and shipments 34GW, up 24% from the same period last year. Global market share rose 0.3% year-on-year to 25.03%.

According to the report, more than 1.6 billion yuan was spent on R & D in the first half of 2022, accounting for more than 5 per cent of revenue. Through technological innovation, TCL Central continues to accumulate patented technology and process Know-how with independent intellectual property rights, build enterprise technical barriers, explore subdivisions such as reducing silicon consumption, N-type silicon wafers, stacked tile components and advanced semiconductor process products, and improve the cutting-edge technology layout of photovoltaic materials, photovoltaic cells / modules and semiconductor materials.
