CTOnews.com, August 25 (Xinhua)-- Steam announced today that the new Steam mobile app is undergoing limited testing, which is rebuilt with a new framework and is more modern in design.

According to reports, the new Steam app still provides the functions of browsing stores, obtaining Steam token verification codes, and confirming transactions, while adding QR code scanning login, smarter notifications, better libraries, and multi-account support.

CTOnews.com learned that foreign media TheVerge has tested the new app and released screenshots of the new app, which now has a navigation bar at the bottom of the screen to navigate to stores, news sources and Steam Guard sections.

The following figure shows that the new app now supports scanning the QR code in the Steam Guard section to log in to the Steam account.

Valve is currently testing the app on iOS and Android, and it is not clear when the official version will be released.
