Peloton, a US Internet fitness platform and sports equipment manufacturer, announced today that it has established a partnership with Amazon to sell its fitness equipment and clothing on Amazon.

Peloton's move aims to broaden its user base, sell more products and win back investor confidence. Compared with the high growth during the outbreak, Peloton's recent revenue growth slowed sharply, causing the share price to plummet. The partnership with Amazon also represents the first time that Peloton has partnered with another retailer to sell its products. Until then, Peloton had relied on its own website and physical showrooms.

Under the partnership agreement, Peloton will sell some of its online fitness equipment and accessories on Amazon's US website from today, including the first-generation Bike bike, which retails for $1445, and the strength training product Peloton Guide, which costs $295.But it does not include the relatively expensive Bike + and Tread treadmill.

In addition to Bike and Guide,Peloton, Amazon will also sell a range of accessories, including its branded bicycle shoes, car mats, yoga mats, water bottles and heart rate armbands, as well as a variety of brands of clothing, including sports bras, tights, shorts, vests, hats and jogging pants.

Kevin Conyers (Kevin Cornils), chief business officer (CCO) of Peloton, said: "working with digital retailer Amazon to test the waters is a good start for us." Conyers also said that before partnering with Amazon, there were about 500,000 searches a month for Peloton products on its platform.

Peloton was the darling of the epidemic, but as the epidemic improved and the government relaxed restrictions, the inventory of Peloton began to swell and many users cancelled their subscriptions, causing Peloton's business to plummet.

Last month, Peloton announced that it would stop producing bicycles and treadmills and hand over production tasks to partners to simplify operations and reduce costs. "We believe this and other initiatives will enable us to continue to reduce the cash burden on our business and increase our flexibility," Peloton CEO Barry McCarthy (Barry McCarthy) said at the time.

Peloton shares rose about 8 per cent at one point in pre-market trading today.
