Cui Zhoushan also revealed that the size of the global OLED panel market will increase from US $400 to US $45 billion this year to US $100 billion in 2030, and the market size will double.

In his speech, Cui Zhoushan also revealed that Samsung plans to build an eighth-generation OLED panel production line for IT products, with the goal of starting production in 2024. Although he did not disclose the amount of investment in the new production line, he said they had set a goal of annual sales of $50 billion.

Samsung Electronics is strengthening its OLED panel, which shows better performance than LCD panels, and revealed in 2020 that it would abandon the LCD panel business and switch to higher-margin high-end products, mainly OLED panels. In June, Samsung showed that it had stopped producing LCD panels for televisions.
