CTOnews.com, August 24-Canon released two new RF wide-angle lenses, the RF24mm F1.8 MACRO IS STM and the RF15-30mm F4.5-6.3 IS ST, in July. Now, the two shots have been sold on Canon's official website for 4399 yuan and 4099 yuan, respectively.

According to officials, the overall design of the RF24mm F1.8 MACRO IS STM and RF15-30mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM is very compact and lightweight. The overall length of RF24mm F1.8 MACRO IS STM is about 63.1mm and the weight is about 270g. Compared with RF35mm F1.8 MACRO IS STM, the weight is reduced by about 35g. The overall length of RF15-30mm F4.5-6.3IS STM is about 88.4mm (at 30mm focal length) and the weight is about 390g. Compared with RF14-35mm F4 L IS USM, the weight is reduced by about 150g.

CTOnews.com learned that the optical structure of RF24mm F1.8 MACRO IS STM uses 9 sets of 11 lenses, including 1 PMo aspheric lens and 1 UD lens, and the optical structure of RF15-30mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM uses 11 groups of 13 lenses, including 1 PMo aspheric lens and 2 UD lenses.

Both wide-angle lenses are equipped with IS image stabilizers, the RF24mm F1.8 MACRO IS STM has a level 5 optical anti-shake effect, and the RF15-30mm F4.5-6.3IS STM has a level 5.5 optical anti-shake effect. When paired with the EOS R series camera with anti-shake fuselage, it can achieve a maximum of level 6.5 and level 7, respectively.

RF24mm F1.8 MACRO IS STM has macro shooting ability, the nearest focus distance is about 0.14m, the maximum magnification is about 0.5x, and it has macro function. When the RF15-30mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM is in autofocus, the nearest focusing distance is about 0.28m and the maximum magnification is about 0.160.When manual focusing is used, the nearest focusing distance can be shortened to 0.13m and the maximum magnification can reach 0.5x.
